Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday deployed all his oratory skills to woo women voters with ‘Nari Shakti’, besides launching a scathing attack on corrupt and family politics of Congress and BRS leaders.

Addressing a public meeting, jam-packed with large number of women voters at Jagtial town in Karimnagar district of North Telangana where the saffron party is considered to be having greater support, the Prime Minister offered his obeisance to women by terming them as `Shakti Swaroopini’ and recalled that the I.N.D.I.A. bloc leaders have insulted women at their meet in Shivaji Park, Mumbai on Sunday.

Stating himself as “mai Bharat mata ka poojari huan. Har maa, beti ka poojari huan“, the Prime Minister said he is ready to take up the challenge from opposition leaders and announced that he will sacrifice his life for the protection of women, who are regarded as ‘Shakti’. “They are for Shakti ka Vinaash, whereas we always do Shakti Puja and the battle outcome on June 4 will decide who will win,” the Prime Minister said.

Pointing out that his government has named the place where the Chandrayaan has landed on the moon as `Shiv Shakti,’, Modi said he always gave high regard to women in the society and appealed to a large number of women, mostly beedi and farm workers in the meet to show their power in the Lok Sabha polls by voting BJP MPs.

Modi said the BRS government has ditched Telangana people, by looting the state’s resources for 10 years. “The Congress too after coming to power, made Telangana state as their ATM. The money looted from the state is going to fund a family in Delhi. The same money is being spent to spread lies and against the integrity of the nation,” he charged.

Charging the Congress and the BRS as partners-in-corruption and indulging in cover firing to protect each other, the Prime Minister asked why the BRS leaders are silent and not questioning the Congress government for not honouring its poll promises. The Congress leaders also did not initiate action against those involved in the Kaleshwaram scam to put them behind the bars. It reflects the hidden secret deal between them, Modi pointed out and announced that he will not spare those leaders involved in looting the hard-earned money of Telugu people. “This is Modi's guarantee.”

Modi also pointed out that all the scams in the country have its roots in family politics. Right from 2G Spectrum Scam, Bofors Scam, National Herald Scam, Fodder Scam, Land for Jobs scam and the latest Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scam and Delhi Liquor Policy Scam, all scams have their genesis in family politics. Asking people to reject the parties involved in family politics on May 13, the Prime Minister said he would put all his energies to make Viksit Telangana to see a Viksit Bharat.

Listing out the major infrastructure works carried out in Telangana by his government, the Prime Minister said his government revived Ramagundam Fertiliser Factory by spending Rs 6,500 crore and asked why the BRS and Congress governments have failed to revive the Nizam Sugar Factory in Bodhan.

The Prime Minister introduced Bandi Sanjay, the party nominee from Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat, Dharmapuri Arwind from Nizamabad, and Gomasa Srinivas from Peddapalli to voters.

To reach out to people, the Prime Minister's speech was intermittent with several Telugu words like “Nalugu vandalu daatali, BJP ki vote veyyali’ among others. He also laid stress on how Telugu people are working hard in many nations, bringing laurels to the country.

Earlier, the BJP Telangana president G. Kishan Reddy welcomed the Prime Minister to the public meeting.
