Dr Shagun Gupta aims to carry on her late father-in-law Shiv Shankar Gupta's legacy

Popularly known as Father of India’s Gemstone Industry, Shiv Shankar Gupta left for heavenly abode few days back. He survived the cannibals and tropical diseases in the jungles of South Africa to find emeralds in the early stage of his life. He also owned the very famous Metro Cinema in Mumbai.

Carrying forward his legacy is her daughter-in-law Dr. Shagun Gupta. She has introduced the permanent makeup techniques in India for the first time ever.

Remembering her late father-in-law Shiv Shankar Gupta, Shagun says, “The life journey of my father-in-law has been immensely inspirational and he has not only inspired me but my entire family and the society we live in. He was a man of words and always made the impossible - possible with his words and action. As an entrepreneur, I always feel that he always knew what business is all about and how it helps the society someway or the other. I make sure to do my bit for the society with my work.”

“He also gave importance to spread the education among the youth in the Khandelwal society and wherever he go, followed by giving scholarships to young talents so they achieve success in life. His greatness and his work made a huge impact on my life,” she adds.
