Board of Control for Cricket in India president Shashank Manohar made good on his promise to clean up the mess at the world’s richest cricket body by taking a vote on N. Srinivasan’s presidency at the International Cricket Council. Even as Mr Srinivasan was ousted, Indian team director Ravi Shastri was removed from the IPL governing council due to a conflict of interest.
Office bearers took advantage of the BCCI’s profit making enterprises by hedging their interests in IPL teams. Mr Manohar’s intervention is welcome.
