Modi misgivings

During an election rally in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress for its complicity in the 1984 riots. This in response to the rising impression of growing “intolerance” towards “others” not only within the country but even outside, with Moody’s Analytics asking Mr Modi to check his partymen’s intolerant remarks. Instead of trying to go one up on the Congress, Mr Modi should have risen to the occasion and punished his party’s loudmouths for their polarising remarks.
