Global alert

The unprecedented floods in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have once again warned man against the disastrous results of global warming. In particular the floods in Chennai have proved that the high-rise buildings and unchecked urbanisation because of a greedy nexus of builders and politicians has become the biggest hurdle to rescue and relief operations. In order to save our planet from the vagaries of climate change, the need of the hour is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. And for this we must learn and inspire others to use non-renewable resources in an efficient manner.
