Empty words

Pakistan’s high commissioner to India Salman Bashir has reiterated that India and Pakistan need to improve bilateral ties. Mr Bashir’s interest in resolving military issues like ceasefire violations via discussion and dialogue is understandable. But this statement has been heard time and again, with no positive results. Pakistan is yet to start the trial of the Mumbai terror attacks accused. Hafiz Saeed, the alleged mastermind of 26/11, roams free in Pakistan, and there are repeated ceasefire violations at the LoC. Pakistan must back its statement with concrete action.
