Breaking silence

US President Barack Obama took the right initiative in calling up Iran’s newly elected President Hassan Rowhani on September 28. This conversation at the highest level between the two countries is a first in three decades. The cordial gesture of both the heads of state reflects their willingness to resume diplomatic ties, which have been cut off since 1979.
