The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to move the Supreme Court after the Delhi high court quashed its decision to get the accounts of the city’s three private power distribution companies audited by the Comptroller and Auditor-General. The high court rejects the Delhi government’s argument of “public welfare” behind conducting the audit, saying corporates have to care for returns as well. It is time the AAP let down its confrontationist stance against discoms, co-opting them in his social welfare agenda.
