On Sept. 12, during the India launch event of Galaxy Note 8, Samsung confirmed to roll out a customised Bixby voice assistant, which will cater to Indian customers, in a few weeks.

Galaxy Note 8, priced at Rs 67,900, is scheduled to be available in India from Sept. 21 in two colours – Midnight Black and Maple Gold. The firm has already begun taking pre-orders for the model across selected retail stores and on Samsung shop and Amazon. However, there is still no official say on a particular date for Bixby’s release in the country.

A new report by Android Authority has claimed that Bixby Voice will be launched in India on Sept.30.

Bixby had faced two delays in major markets, including US, since its launch in April due to language learning issues. It competes with Apple Siri and Google Assistant.

In the country, the digital voice assistant will be available for the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8, according to reports.
