Mumbai: In a big relief to the Shiv Sena, the chief minister, replying to a question by NCP MLCs over the BMC’s tablet scam, said that there was no truth to the allegations. The Shiv Sena is now digging out old allegations made by BJP leaders related to the ‘tab scam’ and asked what the BJP would say about it now.

A question in the Upper House regarding the alleged tablet scam was raised by MLC Hemant Takle, Dhananjay Mune, Niranjan Davkhare, Kiran Pawaskar, Narendra Patil, Anil Bhosale, Ramrao Vadkute, Jaidev Gaikwad and Vidya Chavan. The question was whether investigation has been completed over the irregularities that were pointed in the tablet given out by the BMC. The other question asked was what action has been taken and against whom?

To this, chief minister Devendra Fadanvis replied saying, “There were few complaints received about the irregularities in purchase of Tabs by the BMC. However, no truth was found in these cases.”

This has given a big relief to Shiv Sena, as the party president Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray have been dragged the controversy. Prithviraj Mhaske, who has filed a PIL in the case claiming that scam worth crores or rupees took place said, “I don’t know what CM has said, but my case is going on in the court.”

However, Sena supporters started attacking the BJP online asking whether will the leaders who accused of a scam answer now. On the other hand, the BJP claimed that they never touched the Tab Scam but the opposition did.
