Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to make an appearance in Mumbai to inaugurate the Metro projects on December 10. While he is here, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will use this opportunity to boast about the recent victory it registered in the municipal councils in the state.

Mr Modi was to be in Mumbai for the same project inauguration on November 19 and was also to attend the Coldplay concert. However, the demonetisation issue prevented Mr Modi from coming to the city and he had addressed the crowd at the concert event via video conferencing.

The BJP leadership in the city is upbeat with the Prime Minister’s visit to the city and is already chalking out plans on what can be done. “A detailed plan will be ready by Thursday. We are going to have a major programme, and we will use the stage to boast about the victories we registered in the state. This will be a befitting reply to all those who opposed the currency ban,” said spokesperson of Mumbai BJP Niranjan Shetty.
