Kolkata: Trinamul Congress MP of Dum Dum Sougata Roy was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday in Narada sting operation case. At around 11.40 am he appeared at the ED office in CGO Complex of Salt Lake.

Dr Roy was however allowed to go after his statement was recorded during few rounds of questioning by the ED officers. He was earlier this month summoned by the ED but he could not appear then.

Before ED, the Central Bureau of Investigation also grilled him in the case. Dr Roy is among the 12 Trinamul leaders who were caught allegedly accepting cash during a sting operation conducted by Narada CEO Mathew Samuel.

Among them Trinamul MP of Uluberia Sultan Ahmed died in September. Apart from Dr Roy, the ED has so far questioned several Trinamul leaders including urban development minister Firhad Hakim also.
