Of course, Rekha isn’t the first star who’s been this particular about the editing of her performance.
Everything that Rekha takes up, she sees through, right to the end. And the IIFA team recently had the opportunity to witness that first hand. After putting on a great show at the award ceremony in Bangkok, her first stage performance in years, the 63-year-old actress also oversaw editing of the recording to ensure that she looked just as captivating as always.
A source from the production team tells us that Rekha was present at all the editing sessions, giving her inputs to make sure that she didn’t look less-than-attractive in any shot. “In fact, she actually stayed back a whole night and made the editor also work overnight! It is amazing that she displays such energy and will at this age,” the source says. It was the actress who approved the final edit of her performance.
Incidentally, Rekha even had a minor altercation with a fan on the morning after her marathon editing session. “As she was leaving, a person saw her and started recording a video of her on his phone. She had not slept the entire night and was obviously not looking her best. So she actually told him off and got him to delete the video! The guy had no option but to oblige,” the source adds.
Of course, Rekha isn’t the first star who’s been this particular about the editing of her performance. “We’ve had experiences with Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan in the past. They are not happy until things are exactly the way they want,” the source says.
Our text to Farzana, Rekha’s manager and the only way to reach the actress, went unanswered. But we’d certainly love to find out where she finds the energy to stay so invested even at this age.
