Y Films’, Bank Chor is a much delayed project, which was scheduled for an early 2015 release but is finally coming to theatres on June 16, 2017. The film features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborthy in the lead roles.

The latest we hear is that the makers are planning to release the film in fewer theatres around India. They are aiming for a digital release (either with Netflix or Amazon Prime). “Also the producers have allotted an amount of `1 crore only for the publicity of the film considering it is a delayed project.” adds a source.

Bank Chor is a comic-caper, that tells the story of three men trying to rob a bank, who pick the worst day possible when everything goes wrong and how they’re inadvertently caught in the crossfire between cops, industrialists and corrupt netas. Bank-Chor is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil.

When contacted, the spokesperson of Y Films denied the developement.
