Mumbai: Thane Crime branch on Tuesday afternoon arrested three lady pimps and rescued four victims, including two minor girls from an illegal sex racket in Kalwa. Acting on a tip off by an NGO, the officials of Thane Crime branch raided a housing society in Kalwa, near Old Mumbai Pune road, and nabbed three women, all in their mid 30s, who had forced four women, aged 23 and 6, and two minors aged 16 and 17 years respectively.

Police also seized Rs 25,000 cash from the flat where the sex racket was carried out. Police has registered  a case against the three women under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITPA).
