Hope is all we have

The image of a man passing a baby under a fence at the Hungarian-Serbian border — which won this year’s World Press Photo of the Year — is an apt depiction of Europe’s’ worst migrant crisis. It narrates the story of a father who takes the risk for his newborn to be on the other side of the world, a world he longs to be a part of. He has nothing but hope for his son.
