The Union tourism ministry has partnered with Doordarshan and All-India Radio to promote tourism to off-beat and culturally significant destinations.

Sources stated that the live telecasts of special programmes and special audio visual packages have been prepared by the public broadcasters to ensure reach to the masses.

The involvement of the national broadcasters has been in an effort to promote the ongoing 20-day programme, Paryatan Parv, which is being organised with the aim of drawing attention on the benefits of tourism, showcasing the cultural diversity of the country and reinforcing the principle of “tourism for all”.
