Irrfan Khan

Known for his versatility and unconventional dramas, Irrfan Khan has been the dark horse on the box office in 2017. His films, including Hindi Medium and Qarib Qarib Singlle did rather well, both for the industry and Irrfan.

And now, the flag-bearer of content driven films in India, will be seen in a web series. Called The Ministry, the series will see Irrfan play a rather interesting role. Our sources tell us that the actor will play an aspiring politician in it.

“Irrfan, who is known for his sarcasm, will be seen as an aspiring politician in The Ministry. He will lend his own style and nuance to the character. He is to start shooting for the series next week,” the source says.

The Ministry will be a political satire set in contemporary India’s corridors of power. It will showcase the story of a washed up, narcissistic Bollywood actor, who is unwittingly appointed as a placeholder Union culture minister. Soon after this, Irrfan will be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next, where he will be seen playing a gangster.
