Moscow: Eleven bodies have been recovered so far in an ongoing massive search and rescue operation in the Black Sea a day after Russian military plane Tu-154 with 92 people on board crashed in the region.

Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov was quoted as saying that terrorism was not a likely cause of the crash.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Russian Defence Ministry had confirmed the crash of the missing Tu-154, saying the debris of the aircraft and alleged personal belongings of the passengers were discovered in the Black Sea.

According to the ministries, more than a thousand search and rescue personnel are currently involved in the search operation.

The ministries also added that DNA testing would be carried out of the bodies in Moscow.

Russia observed a day of national mourning for Tu-154 plane crash victims on Monday.
