Vishal Thakkar from the popular Colors show Thapki Pyaar Ki has gone missing since January 1. After the actor’s sudden disappearance, his worried parents filed a missing person’s complaint at Mulund Police station in Mumbai.

According to the police, the actor went missing on the morning of January 1 from Fountain Hotel at Ghodbunder Road (Thane) while taking a tea break. Vishal was on his way back from a resort located at Ahmedabad highway after celebrating New Years with girlfriend Rajani Rathod when the incident took place. The couple decided to halt at the Fountain Hotel for tea from where the actor suddenly disappeared.

Investigating officer Jayvant Padvi said, “While having tea at Fountain, Vishal told Rajani he had to meet a friend in Andheri and left. Thereafter, Rajani tried looking for him but in vain. His phone too is switched off ever since. Nobody knows about his whereabouts”.

He added, “During the investigation, Rajani told us that he has been suffering from depression of late because he hasn’t been getting work. His frustrations had strained the couple’s relationship and they would quarrel frequently. We are looking into all aspects. We haven’t reached any conclusion so far. Investigations are still on.”

The 31-year-old actor was accused of rape and was subsequently arrested in October last year.

PSST! Like the jodi of Hanuman and Ram, child actors Ishant Bhanushali and Meet Mukhi have ended up becoming best friends on the sets of Sankat Mochan Hanuman. Informs a source from the set, “Meet and Ishant bond very well. They are inseparable, and you always see them either studying together or playing together during intervals. People on the sets actually call them by their screen names — Hanuman and Ram.
