Shabana Azmi shoots for eight hours straight

Shabana Azmi was recently required to shoot in a very dingy room for a sequence, but the conditions didn’t deter the actress. The recent track was filmed on the 3rd floor of a building, which had no fan or ventilation. Shabana was soaked in sweat and was starving, but she chose to continue with the shoot, which took a little more than eight hours to film completely. So engrossed was the actress, that she actually ended up shooting without water and food during the time frame.

Inspired by her dedication, the other actors too followed her footsteps and didn’t move till the entire sequence was wrapped up at a go. When we contacted Shabana, she said, “Yes, it was one of the most difficult sequences to shoot till date. The location had no ventilation. It was so hot that I had to use a hand fan, but it didn’t provide any relief. However, what matters to me is the end result. The scene came out really well.”
