Even though they were hoping to be part of the grand finale of reality show Power Couple, celebrity contestants Sandip Soparkarr and wife Jesse Randhawa were “deliberately” dropped from the finale, reveals a source close to the couple. The source says, “Sandip and Jesse are disappointed. They were expecting to be invited but the channel conveniently ignored them. Sandip and Jesse had to travel to Delhi for some work and had offered to even adjust their dates for the finale but the channel did not even bother to inform them about the finale shoot. Later when the couple learnt about the shoot and confronted the channel they were curtly told that there are budget constraints and they will not be flown for the shoot from Delhi. The incident has left the couple feeling bitter.”
Confirming the incident, Sandip says, “They never got back to us even though we specifically told them that we would be interested in participating in the finale. They refused to fly us down for the shoot citing budget problems. It’s ridiculous; we are very disappointed, of course, as the finale would have been our last reunion with other power couple contestants we bonded with. But what can one do The lesser said, the better.”
