Popular primetime drama Qubool Hai will air its final episode on Jan 25, ending its glorious run of three long years. Launched in October three years ago with a view to shatter stereotypes about the Muslim community, the daily soap has been an intriguing mix of drama, romance and thrills showcasing Muslim culture and its values in a modern setting. During the show’s run, its female protagonist Zoya ably played by actress Surbhi Jyoti impressed millions of followers essaying multiples characters and romancing as many as ten male co-stars from Karan Singh Grover to Avinash Sachdev.
Commenting on the show’s end, an emotional Surbhi Jyoti said, “It has been a very fulfilling journey to play five characters in the same show. This show has made me a household name. I am thankful to all our fans for showering us with immense love and adulation. I have loved every bit of this journey and I am going to sorely miss shooting for the show. Above all, I will miss all of my co-actors and friends that I have made on the sets. No matter which part I play in future, I know for a fact I will always be remembered for this show.”
The show has often been in the news because of its popular male actors quitting at regular intervals and also for the off screen chemistry between lead actors Surbhi and Karan Singh Grover. It will be replaced by a story titled Meri Sasu Maa.
