Telly stars Rithvik Dhanjani and Ravi Dubey who are best friends in real life, are currently seen hosting India’s Best Draamebaaz. The two reveal some embarrassing secrets about each other in a candid chat.

How did your friendship begin Ravi: There was an event in Dubai and I realized that Rithvik needs a friend. So I became one (laughs). Jokes apart, he is a very close friend of mine for the past three years. He’s been one of the few people I’m thick with from the industry. There are a lot of common factors between Rithvik and me. I think this is why we gel very well — we are serious about work and extremely driven.

Ravi, What was your first thought when you were offered this show with Rithvik Ravi: I figured the show must be going through massive crisis because of Rithvik and that’s why they had to call me on board (laughs). On a serious note, I think he is extremely spontaneous as a host. I was excited about the show. We are so comfortable with each other that even if we take a dig at each other it will not be a problem.

Tell us some fun fact about your co-host... Rithvik: Ravi sleeps through films, and then just before the movie ends, he wakes up and exclaims, ‘Wow! What a film!’ That’s because most of the times he is really tired after his hectic schedules. Also, we recently watched The Intern together and for the longest time he believed that Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in the film were dating because I told him so and he believed it. Later of course, I told him the truth.

Ravi: He is a dull and boring guy, there is no fun fact about him. There should be a task in I Can Do That to spend 20 minutes with Rithvik without getting bored (laughs).

Which is the one quality that you two admire and dislike about each other Ravi: I admire the fact that he is very hard working. I get annoyed when he decides to go on a diet overnight and he will eat only salads. I cannot do without butter chicken and roti for lunch. Even if I am on a diet, I don’t compromise on my lunch. So yes, his diet does disappoint me at times.

Rithvik: Ravi is a genuine and kindhearted person. I like that he will never hesitate to show his love for anyone. One thing that I do not like about him is his carelessness. Recently we were in Goa for New Year’s Eve. Goa has only straight roads from point A to Point B. Ravi managed to get lost twice on a straight road! Later when we asked him what he was upto, he said that he was busy staring at a hat and that’s how he got lost. We were waiting for him for at least 20 minutes. So yes, he is that careless.
