Diya aur Bati Hum will soon see a major change in its story line. The new track will take the story across the border to Pakistan and introduce two new characters—Arzoo and Chotu played by actors Prachi Tehlan and Kunal Khosla respectively. The new story will see protagonist Sandhya going to Pakistan to unite the lovers Arzoo and Chotu. Prachi who makes a debut on the TV has shed almost 15 kilos for the show.
An excited Prachi says, -"When I got the call, I thought it was a prank but soon reality sunk in. The creative director of the show approached me through my Facebook fanpage for this role. It is a very big change in my career and I have quit my corporate job in Delhi to be part of this project.”
When asked how she managed to lose 15 kgs she said, “Since I’m a sports person, it wasn’t really difficult. I took extra precautions in my diet. I follow a strict no carbs diet and also make it a point to head out for a run whenever I get time.”
