If true, you can consider this news as one of the major security breached of all time. According to media reports, a hacker by the name of Tessa88 claims that he has managed to slip through and obtain usernames and passwords of Twitter users to the tune of 32 million accounts. The news comes from LeakedSource, a website that claims to have a repository of leaked data where users from different domains can come check if their usernames and passwords are under threat and see them listed on their site. The website presently claims to have a copy of the leaked data from Tessa88 and also claims that some users have already checked if their accounts were compromised.

However, Twitter has a different story altogether. According to a statement issued to Reuters, Twitter’s spokesperson states that their systems were not breached and that Twitter is confident that no usernames or passwords or any credentials were obtained by a data breach.
