One of the most notable characteristics that Samsung is known to offer its users is its stylus - the S Pen that accompanies its premium devices. Samsung recently filed a patent application for its S Pen and reports reveal that there are some major updates that the users can expect with the same.
Samsung's stylus will now work as the smartphone's speaker. The former will hold the capacity to output sound even when separated from the phone.
The patent application reveals that the stylus consists of an 'accommodation space' where the 'S Pen silo' which is a speaker module, will be placed. This will apparently enhance the quality of the sound produced. The new system is expected to replace the speaker grille located near the pen slot. Additionally, the S Pen may also come equipped with features like Air Command and Smart Select tool.
Since it's only a patent application, the certainty of whether or not Samsung will actually go ahead with the concept is still vague.
