It’s a given, that every time a phone falls off your hand, it almost always lands on its screen. If you have shattered your smartphone screen more than once in your lifetime, you’d know what we mean! It’s hard to comprehend why that happens, and so most of us just believe it as a mysterious fact.
However, as part of a promotional campaign by Motorola, physicist Robert Matthew has explained the physics behind the phone’s falling face down. Interestingly, according to his calculations, the chances of the phone falling face down is higher when you fumble the phone in the air to keep it from falling!
