The function of the backspace key has been much debated over, by many users. There are many who find it inconvenient as the backspace key would automatically navigate them back within their browser; thereby, resulting in many losing their progress. At the same time, there are many who feel their browsing experience is eased with this shortcut.
To end this for once and for all, Google has introduced its ‘Go Back with Backspace’ chrome extension. You can now add this extension and restore the ‘backspace as back’ functionality to your browser, which has permanently been removed from the default Chrome version.
