Apart from Tesla, two other automakers have been given permission to test self-driving cars in California.

Automakers Wheego and Valeo have officially been given permission to test their autonomous vehicles on the streets on California.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the state recently approved a bill that allows fully autonomous car testing in California. While, the automakers may start testing their advanced vehicles, they will still be required to be operated by human drivers.

There are 17 other corporations that have been granted the testing permits in California including Tesla, Google, Ford, Baidu, Nissan and Honda to name a few.
