Xiaomi has been already teasing the Mi MIX 3 for a while and there are some features that will certainly make it to the commercial version when it launches later in the year. Most importantly, unlike its predecessors, the MIX 3 will have no chin at all, thereby offering a true fullscreen display. A new leak now shows the Mi MIX 3 once again, but with an additional feature that hasn’t been hinted by Xiaomi.

Discovered by Slashleaks on Weibo, the Mi MIX 3 is shown as being the bezel-less beauty that Xiaomi has been hinting at. Similar to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy smartphones and the OPPO Find X, the MIX 3 will have curved edges on the display. There’s no notch, indicating that the Mi MIX 3 could be opting for the pop-up camera solution first adopted on the OPPO Find X. The device is also shown running probably a version of MIUI 10.

However, this new leak suggests that Xiaomi will offer a dedicated button for its virtual assistant, XiaoAI. The button will on the left side of the device, similar to where Samsung and Vivo place their dedicated AI buttons on their flagships. The feature will be a part of the MIX 3, but the text also mentions a Mi LEX as the other device to get the dedicated XiaoAI button.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 leaks

Do note that this information comes from an unofficial source, which is why you should take it with a pinch of salt.

As of now, Xiaomi has been teasing the Mi MIX 3, confirming that it will have a slider system for housing the front camera and will have native support for 5G out-of-the-box. The Mi LEX could either be a more expensive version of the MIX 3 with special features that Xiaomi has yet to unveil, or a more affordable version of the MIX 3. Xiaomi is yet to comment on the LEX officially.
