Huge WhatsApp update will let you use the same account across platforms
A recent leak has pointed towards a new WhatsApp update which will unify the app’s interface across Windows, iOS and android.
Though WhatsApp is currentlty available to use on a windows PC, it requires you to have an active internet connection on the smartphone your account exists on, largely depending on it.
WhatsApp has always used a user’s phone number to provide a unique account and has hence never really been a truly multi-platform chatting application, since the app couldn’t be used on devices without a SIM card, like a Mac or a PC.
That will however change once the new update rolls out. Below are the new changes according to WABetainfo-
The new WhatsApp system will allow your account to exist on the iPad without the need of uninstalling it from you’re iPhone. You will also be able to use the same WhatsApp account on iOS and Android devices.
WhatsApp will also work on your computer after the update without an active internet connection on your phone. You can now also use the same WhatsApp account on a windows phone as well as on WhatsApp for windows.
The leaker further mentioned that the new update will also improve on the end-to-end encryption irrespective of how many devices you use your account on. No screenshots or dates have been revealed yet for the new update.
