Xiaomi launched the Redmi 4A (read the review) earlier this year keeping in mind the entry-level smartphone seeker. We got our hands on the smartphone and considered this to be the ultimate budget smartphone under Rs 6,000. Xiaomi even launched an improved version of the same in the form of the Redmi 4 (read the review), which we found to deliver the most bang for the buck. And now, Xiaomi has another new model in the budget Redmi series.

The updates Redmi 4A now comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. However, it still retains the Snapdragon 425 chipset underneath the 5-inch HD display. There are a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP rear camera for the photography department. The smartphone is powered by a 3100mAh battery.

The 3GB RAM Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 6,999, which is exactly the same as the entry-level Redmi 4 with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and a fingerprint sensor. It will be interesting to see whether consumers go for the powerful version of the Redmi 4A or the entry-level premium Redmi 4.
