Possible Honor V9 smartphone tipped online in images

After launching the Honor V9 earlier this year, Honor seems to be gearing up to launch the lite version of the smartphone dubbed as the V9 Mini. The smartphone is said to be more compact and sleek than the V9.

An image posted on Weibo claims to reveal the V9 Mini revealing the rear panel of the smartphone. The smartphone looks identical to the Honor V9 or the Honor 8 Pro. The smartphone seems to have the same metallic body with a dual camera setup on the back alongside an LED flash. The fingerprint is also on the rear panel with the Honor branding down below.

The image also reveals that the device will come in Black and Blue colour variants. It also reveals that the power button and the volume rocker will be placed on the right side, which means the SIM tray will be placed on the left. The post didn’t reveal much about the smartphone.

The Honor V9 or  Honor 8 Pro comprises of two 12MP sensors with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash and is capable of capturing 4K videos. For selfies, users get an 8MP front facing snapper.

The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch LTPS LCD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and is powered by a Kirin 960 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. It is juiced by a 4000mAh battery and features a fingerprint sensor for added security.
