Huawei Honor 8 to receive Nougat in Feb 2017

Huawei launched its Honor 8 smartphone back in October this year. The device ran on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Users have been speculating the Android update ever since. According to the information provided on their website, Huawei’s Honor 8 is set to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update along with EMUI 5.0 in February next year.

EMUI 5.0 streamlines the user interface and cuts down on the number of steps needed to reach core functions, according to Huawei. The update will also reportedly reduce the amount of UI chrome. Furthermore, EMUI 5.0 employs machine learning to analyse and adapt to user behaviour over time. Users will also be able to password protect individual apps.
