The Redmi Y3 is expected to be announced next week and for those who can’t wait for the 4000mAh beast with a 32MP selfie camera to be announced, Redmi India has posted a video on their official Twitter account showing the handset being put through a torture test.

Redmi India states, “There. Dropped it down the stairs. Will you drop your phone like that? #32MPSuperSelfie coming on 24-04-2019”

The video shows the textured rear of the Y3 which comes with a dual camera configuration alongside a fingerprint scanner. On the front, you see the smartphone sporting a waterdrop notch that’s surrounded by slim bezels on three sides with a thicker bottom bezel.

The brand has put the handset through a durability test of sorts where the handset is first tossed in a bin and then being dropped down a flight of stairs while being sealed in the bin. This video has been made to show how tough this selfie-centric phone actually is.

The Redmi Y3 will be made official at a special event in New Delhi on April 24 and will feature a 32MP front-facing camera which is the first of its kind in the budget segment.
