Samsung to launch Galaxy S9 on February 26

Rumours of Samsung Galaxy S9 are already floating around and now it seems that the company will soon drop the curtains from its next Galaxy S model. According to Evan Blass, Samsung Galaxy S9 will see the light of the day on February 26 with pre-orders starting on March 1st. The new report also suggests that the shipping of the phone will kick start on March 16.

Moreover, the company has already confirmed that the Galaxy S9 will be launched at MWC. If rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy S9 will pack in the same battery capacities present in Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The Galaxy S9 will retain the 5.8-inch Infinity Display panels from the present S8 lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset in the US and Exynos 9810. The Galaxy S9 will feature 4GB RAM whereas the S9+ will sport 6GB RAM.

Moreover, some rumours suggest that the company would also take a cue from Apple — the standard Galaxy S9 would sport a single lens rear camera setup, while the Galaxy S9+ might get a dual-lens camera module. The Galaxy S9 might also include new camera features such as a super slow-mo video capture function. The fingerprint sensor will still be there, and so will be the headphone jack, as Samsung doesn’t yet want to go the Apple way and give up on the popular audio connector.
