Upcoming Nokia’s smartphones processors revealed in leaks

Considering what reports are touting and price of Nokia 3 handset, Nokia 2 may cost less than Rs 9,499.

Nokia marketing partners HMD Global is yet to release first series of Nokia’s Android-powered smartphone—Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 in some countries, and leaks on the next series of Nokia smartphones have surfaced online, revealing the type of processors the individual handsets will be powered by.

To date, it was well known that Nokia will be releasing at least three new Android-powered smartphones in the second half of 2018, but the new leaks are suggesting the Finnish-based firm is planning to release about four new handsets, named Nokia 2, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9, with Nokia 2 touted as the ‘ultimate’ budget-friendly phone from the firm.

According to the leak reported by the a Nokia-dedicated tech website Nokiapoweruser.com, Nokia 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 212/MediaTek processor, Nokia 7 by Snapdragon 630, Nokia 8 by Snapdragon 660 and Nokia 9 by Snapdragon 835.

Among the first set of Nokia branded Android smartphones, Nokia 3 is available for purchase in India for Rs 9,499, while the rest—Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are said to be released in the market starting mid-August at a price of Rs 12,899 and Rs 14,999, respectively.

Considering what the reports are touting and price of Nokia 3 handset, Nokia 2 may cost less than Rs 9,499. However, we advise you to take the piece of information as a pinch of salt and wait for further reports to pour in before raising your bars of expectations, as the company hasn’t officially made any announcement on their next launch.
