Apple’s groundbreaking iPhone X has just landed globally with scores of fans flocking stores to buy Apple's latest flagship. While we are still getting settled on to this year’s flagship iPhone lineup, it is interesting to consider what today’s rumours will mean for next year’s iPhone lineup. There are already few rumours floating around about what to expect from Apple for the iPhone X's successor.

According to a new report from reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple might launch two different phones next year with OLED displays and stainless steel frames. Kuo has also predicted that the company is considering a new design with more elements that would enhance data transmission.

Further, he suggests that Apple will upgrade the specifications for the new phone but won’t add a rear-facing version of the True Depth Camera that is used for both Face ID and the iPhone X’s Animojis. Kuo has also predicted that Apple will ditch the TouchID entirely for Face ID on its next year's models. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus could probably be the last iPhones to sport the fingerprint recognition system. Additionally, Face ID is also expected to come to new iPad Pros next year.
