Galaxy Note 8 'final specs' leaked before official launch

Galaxy Note 8 is likely to cost around €999 (or approx Rs 75,749), making it Samsung’s most expensive smartphone ever.

Samsung is scheduled to announce the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone at an ‘Unpacked’ event in New York City on August 23, disclosing all the relevant details about the model, including it sport under the hood. However, days before its official launch, well-known tipster Evan Blass has revealed “final specs” of the smartphone.

According to the leaked information, Galaxy Note 8, as widely reported, will feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display, barely larger than Samsung’s last flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 Plus. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC for the US, and by Samsung’s own Exynoss 8895 processor for the rest of the region, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone will also support expandable storage via microSD card slot.

In terms of camera, Galaxy Note 8 will come equipped with dual-camera setup – 12MP sensor each. The primary wide-angle lens will have an f/1.7 aperture and dual-pixel autofocus, while the second is a telephoto lens will have an f/2.4 and enable a 2x optical zoom.  On the other hand, the front camera will sport an 8MP sensor and f/1.7 autofocus lens.

It will pack a 3300mAh battery, which can be recharged via the USB-C port or wirelessly, and measures 162.5mm x 74.6mm x 8.5 mm in dimensions. The smartphone will reportedly be available in four colour variants – Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue at a price of around €999 (or approx Rs 75,749), making it Samsung’s most expensive smartphone ever.
