According to the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the company has been rolling out teasers of its new Z5 smartphone. The launch event according to the teasers is scheduled on June 5 in Beijing. According to the Lenovo's VP Chang Cheng, the Z5 is considered to be the world’s first smartphone with a maximum screen-to-body-ratio of 95-per cent. Lenovo has also revealed the colourful rear glass body of the upcoming Z5 smartphone. The other detailed specifications of the Z5 are yet to be known.

Coincidentally, the other full-screen display from Vivo – the Apex phone is also supposed to launch a week after the Z5 launch most likely on June 12. The Apex’s concept has been showcased at Mobile World Congress, 2018. It also features a unique selfie camera that pop-up from the top of the phone, Apex has achieved the full no bezel and no notch screen with this pop-out mechanism. However, the Z5’s front camera details are still unclear as of now.

So, this new approach from smartphone manufacturers is clearly hinting the future of the handsets which are currently being evolved from bezel-less display to notch displays.
