WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to switch between voice and video calls instantly. Currently, users have to disconnect the voice call and redial in order to make a video call on WhatsApp.

According to a WhatsApp dedicate news website @WABetaInfo, the popular messaging service will introduce a new feature that will enable users to switch between voice and video calls without having to disconnect the call in progress.

The new feature was first spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.17.163 version. The recipient, however, will be able to reject the upcoming video call if they want.

“WhatsApp is also testing a feature that will allow to directly mute a video,” the report added.

The company also recently rolled out its ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature that allows users to delete specific messages you have sent to either a group or an individual chat. This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or if the message you sent contains a mistake.

The deleted messages will be replaced with ‘This message was deleted’ in the recipients chat. The error also means that the message was deleted for everyone in the chat.
