Apple’s 2018 range of iPhones were hyped for a long while ago, especially the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. However, after the launch, it’s become evident that the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR are essentially iterative upgrades to last year’s iPhone X, with no major new features. Huawei is banking high on this and has rolled out a teaser for its upcoming flagship devices.

Huawei took to Twitter to announce that they will be unveiling their second flagship offering for 2018 on 16th October at an event in London. Along with that, they embedded a video through which they teased Apple for keeping their offering pretty much the same as the last year’s model. They claim that their offering will be different and more intelligent than Apple’s flagship. In the end, they thank Apple ‘for keeping things the same.’

It is evident that Huawei is teasing their upcoming Mate 20 series of premium smartphones. Leaks and rumours have already given us a pretty fair idea of what to expect from the phones — a HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, a curved edge display with a notch on the top and much more. The Mate 20 Pro is even expected to sport a 3D facial recognition system like the iPhone XS.
