CES 2018: Huawei’s mesh Wi-Fi system claims to have ultrafast connection speed
While the global internet speed is around 20 Mbps, it goes up to 1867 Mbps.
Huawei introduced a hybrid Wi-Fi system yesterday at the CES 2018. The China- based company, which is known for making smartphones and laptops introduced Huawei’s Wi-Fi Q2, which aims at providing a stable signal strength through a large home or an estate.
The mesh Wi-Fi provides the user with two options: a base and two satellites which would deliver data over electrical, telephone, and coaxial wiring, or a hybrid three-pack, which relies on both wired and wireless connections.
The brand claims that installation can be completed within five steps, and that the Wi-Fi Q2 system can provide connection speeds of up to 1867 Mbps, which is pretty good, taking into consideration that the average global internet speed is around 10–20 Mbps.
The brand also states that its Q2 system is enabled to provide support to almost 192 connected devices simultaneously and up to 16 hot spots.
The Wi-Fi mesh will cost $349.99 for a hybrid three-pack, and $219.99 for one base unit and two satellites.
