The Federal Trade Commission reportedly warned Apple and Google about certain dating apps which allowed underage users, leading to their removal from the official stores.

According to the official FTC release, both Apple and Google have removed three dating apps that allowed children as young as 12 to access them. The apps were found in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC Act include Meet24, FastMeet, and Meet4U.

These apps collected users' birthdates, email addresses, photographs, and real-time location data, putting them at great risk. The app companies have been asked to remove personal information of underage users, and seek parental consent before allowing access to the minors.
