In a bid to help developers monetise their apps and games, Google has announced a new method called Rewarded Products.
The new product is available in open beta in the Google Play">Google Play Console.
As described on the official Android Developers blog, the method makes it easy for Google Play">Google Play developers to increase their monetised user base. Gamers can choose to watch a video ad in exchange for virtual goods or in-game currency.
Developers can add this monetisation method to any app using the Google Play">Google Play Billing Library or Android Interface Definitions Library (AIDL) with a few additional API calls. The Rewarded Products use AdMob technology that gives access to range of content from advertisers which are currently working with Google.
