Tumblr releases the Cabana app for Android

There have been times when you wished to watch a YouTube video with your online friends together. Tumblr identified this opportunity and developed an app called Cabana, which lets up to five users watch a video on YouTube simultaneously. Until now, this app was available on iOS devices only. Now though, it is available for Android users as well.

The app creates a virtual room for five people where they can watch videos from YouTube together in real-time. Once installed from the Play Store, users can search for their contacts through usernames or upload their address book to the app’s database.

The app can come in handy for people who want to watch a YouTube viral video together with their friends. It can be helpful for people who want to watch a live event streaming on YouTube or dedicated YouTube shows with their pals. The free-to-download app is only available in the US as of now, with a possibility of being available in many more countries soon.
