Motorola has announced its latest range of Moto Mods. The unveiling comes after Motorola launched a new Moto Z2 Play and is compatible with the new mods. The Moto Mods join the list of other modular accessories, which were announced last year.

Moto Z2 Play and last year’s release Moto Z, and Moto Z Play and Moto Z Force are compatible with the old and the newly announced modular accessories. Motorola has just unveiled the new Moto GamePad, which was spotted in multiple leaks earlier this year.

The GamePad mod now transforms the smartphone in a handheld gaming console, thanks to its dual analog joysticks and D-pad controls. Action buttons ensure a true gaming experience and the accessory also comes with a 1,035mAh battery built-in.

Motorola has also upgraded the first generation JBL SoundBoost and released a new model that now provides 10 hours of playtime and comes with water-repellant coating. The Moto Mod is available in multiple colors, including red, blue and black and comes with improved contours and a premium design. Motorola’s My JBL SoundBoost 2 app also helps adjust the sound and make use of various controls for an enhanced experience.

Apart from this, Motorola also announced the Moto TurboPower Pack which adds an extra 24 hours of battery life. The power pack can also charge over 50 per cent of its capacity in just 20 minutes.

New Moto Style Shells were also unveiled, with built-in wireless charging of up to 10W and stylish design. The Style Shells are available in multiple models and colors and they should arrive globally this summer, although Motorola didn’t announce the exact date.

In terms of pricing information the Moto TurboPower Pack will have a price tag starting at $79.99, Moto Style Shell with Wireless Charging will sell for $39.99, JBL SoundBoost 2 will be available for $79.99 and the price for the Moto GamePad is set at $79.99. Last year, Motorola released the Hasselblad True Zoom, JBL SoundBoost, Mophie Juice Pack, and Incipio Offgrid.
