Gamer’s here’s some good news. This is what January has in store for the entire gaming community

January always brings with itself a kind of lull that settles over us. Absolutely nothing of any consequence is ever released in the nascent stages of the year. However, this time around, that is not the case it seems, for January is about to play host to many a great game releases

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, PC, PlayStation4, Xbox One, January 12, 2016.

The second game in the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles series, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India is a 2.5D platformer set in the Assassin’s Creed universe and it serves mainly to explore new plot lines and broaden the already rich historical universe in new and unique ways. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China released to mixed reviews, however, after seeing the improvements made to the franchise in Syndicate, hopes are high among gamers for the upcoming title based in India.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, January 29, 2016.

Back in 2014 we saw perhaps one of the most brutally honest and chilling war games of all time, This War of Mine. The game returns on the consoles this month to offer an even more chilling reality of war in This War of Mine: The Little Ones. The game is set up as a survival game that pits you against the world as a child trying to make it through a war torn world. If this game is anything like the PC original, prepare yourselves for some sleepless nights.

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, PC, January 20, 2016.

Much to the joy of Homeworld fans and fans of real time strategy games in general, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is going to hit the shelves later this month. Set a hundred years prior to the events of the 1999 Homeworld in the desolate sands of the desert planet of Kharak, the player must investigate a crashed ship under the leadership of chief science officer Rachel S’jet (an ancestor of Karan S’jet, the protagonist of the original games).

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, PC, January 15, 2016.

Next, one of the best RPGs ever to grace the previous generation of consoles finally makes its way on to the PC. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the extremely well received and loved RPG that released back in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 graces the PC this month. Anyone who claims to be a lover of the RPG genre must check this game out if they haven’t played it on the consoles when it released back in the day.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, PC, January 28, 2016.

After much controversy and many a raised eyebrows, it seems that Lara’s time as an Xbox exclusive is over. Come January 28, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be made available on the PC. One of the best games on to come out on the Xbox One in 2015, players wait with bated breath to see how beautiful the harsh frozen tundra of Siberia will look on the PC in all its 4K glory.
