Microsoft in a recent announcement said that the month of November has been its best when it comes to sales of its Surface Pro computers.
Apple has been ruling over the laptop market for years with its MacBook range. At the same time, Microsoft has also managed to sweep in with the biggest challenge to Apple’s authority in the recent years. However, the market dominance appears to be changing gradually. Apparently, many MacBook Pro users have made the switch to Microsoft’s Surface Pro.
Microsoft in a recent announcement said that the month of November has been its best when it comes to the sales of its Surface Pro computers. "More people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before. Our trade-in program for MacBooks was our best ever, and the combination of excitement for the innovation of Surface coupled with the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro — especially among professionals — is leading more and more people to make the switch to Surface, like this," says Microsoft in a blog post. "It seems like a new review recommending Surface over MacBook comes out daily. This makes our team so proud, because it means we're doing good work."
This certainly isn’t a good news for Apple especially given the experimental change that the company has brought with MacBook Pro 2016 models that come without an SD card slot and other key hardware features used by professionals.
“As you can see, we’re proud of the momentum and progress we are making with our Surface line-up,” the post continued. “We’re learning a ton from Surface and Surface Hub customers and have an amazing team of hardware and software engineers dedicated to continually improving our products. You should expect the best and we expect to give you the best, today and tomorrow. We will continue to create new experiences for you that will change the way you create, collaborate and have an impact on your world in 2017 and beyond,” the blog concluded.
